Every library starts with a room
nobody was using yet
ARISE Foundation’s school library programme turns repurposed shipping containers and unused rooms into fully stocked reading spaces for students near ARISE’s Special Economic Zones — stocked through both direct purchase and an internal employee donation campaign, and formalised with a signed MOU with each partner school and local ministry.

The first Read2Rise library
446 students who had no dedicated reading space now have one. This was the pilot site for the programme — the model every later opening builds on.

A solar-powered library, and 45 trees on launch day
The container library runs on solar power and now serves the full school community — teachers included.
“The students are no longer bored — they’re always in the library now.”

The employee donation campaign
The book collection drive ran across ARISE offices in UAE, India, Gabon, Benin, and Togo turning an internal logistics challenge into a company-wide moment of engagement. Over 1,500 books were donated by colleagues, forming the core stock of the first libraries.
